Inspired by Richard Deacon’s work.

Plywood, acrylic paint
This relief is inspired by the shapes of Jean Arp’s sculptures, reliefs and cut-outs. I looked for clean forms that evoke a pared-down mountain-scape, with luminous edges that reflect the sunlight.
The kora: Steel, aluminium wire
This mountain-like structure plays with the idea of scale whilst connecting both an element of ground and sky together. It serves as a basis for sharing my experience in visiting Mount Kailash, a sacred mountain in Tibet, in 2019. The text is intended to draw you around the piece (and thus enable you to circumnavigate it or perform a ‘kora’). Its colours are those of Tibetan prayer flags, which flutter in the wind to spread blessings
